Take a look at some of the most iconic signs from across the UK, which is your favourite?
Penny Lane

Made famous by the Beatles, Penny Lane was where John Lennon and Paul McCartney would meet to catch a bus into the city. The many original post signs are now spray painted onto the wall, as fans would steal the actual signage as a souvenir!
London Underground

This sign first appeared on platforms in 1908. Not only was it a symbol for the underground but for London transport as a whole. The red circle represents London, and the blue bar is the Thames.
Piccadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus is one of the most popular tourist attractions in London. As well as huge billboards there’s plenty of shops around, plus all the surrounding areas such as Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. The first electric advertisements here appeared in 1920’s. One of the biggest ones there currently is Coca Cola.
Land’s End

The Land’s End sign is on the coast of Cornwall. It signifies the furthest place south that you can travel to in the UK. On the opposite end of the country is the John O’Groats in Scotland, which is the same theory, but north.
Buckingham Palace Signpost

Leading the way to one of the biggest and most famous buildings in the UK, Buckingham Palace, with an impressive 775 rooms in total. The simple post sign is iconic to people living in London as well as the hundreds of tourists every day.
